Skeet Range Safety Rules

 

You must be a member or a guest of a member to shoot on the range.

 

1. Eye and ear protection required for all shooters and anyone assisting or pulling targets.

2. Actions open on all carried guns at all times except when shooter is on station and ready to call for target(s). Bolts open on automatics and pumps and fixed breech shotguns will be broken open and empty.

3. Guns loaded only after shooter is on station. Guns pointed in a “downrange” direction after loading. Guns unloaded before leaving the station.

4. A gun may not be used that will accept more than one (1) gauge of shells at any time.

5. Shot size no larger that 7 ˝ with standard velocity skeet and loads and “low power” only.

6. No shooter will be allowed on the skeet ranges after the intake of alcohol of any amount.

7. Spectators will remain at a safe distance behind the range when there is shooting in progress.

A “round” of skeet consists of 25 targets only.
